The Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) has arrested another member of a racket involved in facilitating cheating during a Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recruitment exam in Dehradun. The arrest follows the busting of the racket in February during an online examination for Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar posts.
The Uttarakhand Special Task Force has arrested the alleged mastermind of a cheating racket in an SSC recruitment examination from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. The accused, Shubham Bhatnagar, allegedly provided remote access to candidates to solve papers illegally.
Jharkhand Police have arrested four individuals, including a candidate, for allegedly using high-tech methods to cheat during the SSC GD constable recruitment examination in Ranchi. The accused, all from Bihar, were caught attempting to hack computer systems at an online examination centre.
The SC said it appeared that the entire test and the system was tainted.
The notification of the Act comes just a day after Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was asked when the legislation would be implemented. The minister had said the law ministry was framing the rules.
The Centre on Monday made public the rules under the recently-notified anti-paper leak law, mandating the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) to prepare norms, standards and guidelines for the computer-based tests among others.
The CBSE issued a circular on Wednesday informing about the re-examination and said dates and other details for it would be posted on the board's website.
The CBSE will declare the date of re-examination probably on Monday or Tuesday.
